Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the wetipp app and website. By creating an account or playing, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use wetipp.

1. What wetipp is — and isn't

wetipp is a free-play prediction game between friends. There are no entry fees, buy-ins, stakes, prize pots, wallets, or payouts of any kind tied to how a match ends. wetipp is not a gambling or betting product, and nothing in the game has monetary value. Any private arrangement players make among themselves happens outside wetipp and is not our responsibility.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use wetipp.
  • You sign in with your email address or an Apple or Google account, and you must set a Profile — a display name and picture shown to Members of your Groups.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your sign-in email secure and don't share sign-in codes.

3. Groups

  • A Group is joined only by its Invite Code or link. Share a code only with people you want in the Group — anyone with it can join until it is rotated (Closed Groups) and an Open Group's link cannot be rotated at all.
  • A Group is bound to one Competition, chosen at creation, and holds at most 2,000 Members.
  • The Admin runs the Group: they may rename it, rotate its Invite Code, change its Group Config, remove Members, and delete the Group. Removing a Member or deleting a Group is at the Admin's discretion.

4. The game

  • One Prediction per player per Fixture, submitted before Kickoff. The Lock is enforced by our servers; late or altered Predictions are not accepted.
  • Predictions are scored into tiers (3 / 2 / 1 / 0 points) against the 90-minute score unless the Group opted into the final result at creation. Postponed Fixtures reopen when rescheduled; Void Fixtures (abandoned, awarded, walkover) never produce points.
  • Match data comes from a third-party provider. We mirror it faithfully, but we do not guarantee it is free of errors or delays, and corrections may change points — points are always a function of the current official data.

5. Acceptable use

  • No offensive, impersonating, or unlawful display names or profile pictures.
  • No automation, scraping, or attempts to bypass the Lock or rate limits.
  • No using wetipp to run wagers, pools with stakes, or any real-money game.

We may suspend or delete accounts that break these rules, and Admins may remove Members from their Groups for any reason.

6. Availability and changes

wetipp is provided as-is, free of charge. We work to keep it available and accurate but do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features — including the set of Competitions on offer. Where a change affects an ongoing Season we will give reasonable notice in the app.

7. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, wetipp is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of a free game — including lost bragging rights. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app. Group history that other players' records depend on (settled Standings, Honours) is anonymised rather than rewritten, as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially we will notify you in the app before the change applies. Continuing to play after that means you accept the new terms.
